Access Holdings Plc has warned the public about a fraudulent scheme involving individuals impersonating its Chairman, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, to defraud unsuspecting investors through fake online platforms.

The company said the scammers are operating a WhatsApp group named “Value Focus Club 60,” using a Nigerian phone number and the chairman’s image to appear legitimate and lure victims into fake investment opportunities.

Access Holdings clarified that its chairman does not operate any WhatsApp investment group and that the company does not offer investment advisory services through messaging platforms.

According to the organisation, the alert followed a whistleblower report that exposed the suspicious activity, prompting public awareness efforts to prevent further victims.

The company urged members of the public not to engage with the group or share personal and financial information with unknown individuals online.

It also advised Nigerians to block and report the associated numbers, while stressing the importance of verifying all investment-related communications through official channels.

Access Holdings further stated that efforts are underway to shut down the fraudulent operation and warned that increased vigilance is essential in preventing financial scams.
