Dangote Refinery Holds PMS Price Steady Amid Market Uncertainty
Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has reassured stakeholders in Nigeria’s energy sector that the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, remains unchanged.
A source within the refinery confirmed that the current pricing structure is still in place, with no adjustments made despite ongoing concerns about potential volatility in the downstream market. The gantry price remains at N1,200 per litre, while the coastal price stands at N1,153 per litre.
The clarification comes at a time when industry players are closely watching global crude oil trends, foreign exchange pressures and shifting supply dynamics, all of which have raised expectations of possible price changes.
However, the refinery says it remains committed to maintaining stable pricing and ensuring steady supply of refined petroleum products both within Nigeria and across African markets.
Analysts say this price stability could help shape market expectations and provide some relief in the downstream sector, particularly as the refinery continues to expand its role in improving fuel availability and strengthening energy security in the region.
