Polaris Bank says it will join organisations worldwide to celebrate the 2026 Customer Service Week from October 5 to 9 under the theme, **“The Extra Mile.”**
The bank said the theme reflects its continued commitment to putting customers at the centre of its operations and improving the quality of their banking experience.
According to Polaris Bank, the annual celebration provides an opportunity to appreciate customers, recognise employees who demonstrate exceptional service and strengthen a customer-focused culture across the organisation.
The bank said its focus on customer experience has evolved over the years, with previous celebrations highlighting teamwork, service excellence, customer appreciation and employees’ ability to overcome challenges in delivering quality service.
It added that its efforts have also received external recognition, citing the 2022 KPMG Customer Experience Survey, in which Polaris Bank was reported as the most improved bank in the retail segment, moving five places to sixth position.
Speaking ahead of this year’s celebration, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Bank, Kayode Lawal, said customers remain central to the bank’s growth.
Lawal said customer feedback, trust and partnership challenge the bank to continuously improve and deliver value, adding that excellent service must go beyond expectations.
Polaris Bank said going the extra mile could involve faster resolution of complaints, clearer communication, anticipating customers’ needs, simplifying processes and demonstrating empathy.
The bank said the commitment would extend across its branches, contact centre and digital banking platforms, including VULTe, to provide customers with a consistent and responsive experience.
As part of the celebration, Polaris Bank said it would engage customers and recognise service champions through activities across its branches, digital channels and other customer touchpoints.
The bank added that the occasion would also be used to encourage customer feedback and strengthen the link between customer insights and continuous improvement in service delivery.
