The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), also known as KAI, has decorated 142 newly-promoted senior operatives with their new badges of rank in recognition of their successful participation in the 2025 Lagos State Civil Service promotion exercise.

The ceremony, held at the agency’s Command Headquarters in Bolade-Oshodi, featured the decoration of the Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Welfare and Discipline, Mr. Koyejo Oyenola, alongside 141 other senior operatives.

Speaking at the event, the Corps Marshal of LAGESC, Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd.), urged the newly-promoted officers to justify their elevation through improved service delivery and effective enforcement of environmental policies.

Cole said the officers must continue to uphold the agency’s mandate of making Lagos cleaner, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing, while translating their career advancement into greater commitment to duty.

The newly-decorated officers comprised 10 Level 13 officers promoted to Chief Law Enforcement Officers, 54 Level 12 officers elevated to Assistant Chief Law Enforcement Officers, 62 Level 10 officers promoted to Principal Law Enforcement Superintendent I, nine officers elevated to Principal Law Enforcement Superintendent II, and three Level 7 officers promoted to Higher Enforcement Superintendents.

Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, the Head of the Environmental Services Department, Dr. Mayowa Adeyeye, expressed appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support to the agency and pledged improved performance in tackling environmental nuisances across the state.

The Director of Human Resources and Administration, LAGESC, Mr. Dotun Johnson, in his vote of thanks, urged the officers to maintain professionalism, demonstrate commitment and improve their engagement with Lagos residents in the discharge of their duties.
