The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) has called on residents to register with the agency, describing accurate population data as essential for effective government planning and service delivery.

The appeal was made by the General Manager of LASRRA, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, during a sensitisation campaign and town hall meeting held at the palace of the Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, Oba AbdulAkeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, in Ijede Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu.

Adebiyi-Abiola said every resident must be counted, noting that LASRRA registration provides government with reliable data needed to plan and deliver services across critical sectors. She added that registration also supports access to opportunities and essential services in areas such as education, healthcare and employment.

The LASRRA boss encouraged residents to take advantage of the ongoing registration exercise and ensure that accurate information is provided to the agency.

Also speaking, the Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, Oba AbdulAkeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, urged residents to register, describing the exercise as a gateway to government programmes and opportunities. According to the monarch, accurate population records will help government better understand the needs of communities and improve service delivery.

The Head of Registration at LASRRA, Mrs. Bolanle Lawal, thanked residents for their participation and support during the sensitisation meeting
