Fidelity Bank Plc has promoted 433 employees in its 2026 Promotion and Notch Award Exercise, representing about 13 per cent of its workforce, as the lender continues efforts to strengthen a performance-driven workplace culture.

The figure marks an increase from previous years, with 376 employees promoted in 2025 and 337 in 2024, reflecting what the bank described as its commitment to recognising excellence, rewarding performance and developing future leaders.

The bank said the promotion exercise forms part of a broader people-management strategy under Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, aimed at recognising employee contributions, strengthening institutional capacity and building a sustainable leadership pipeline.

Beyond promotions, Fidelity Bank highlighted several staff-focused initiatives introduced in recent years, including salary increases across all grade levels, expanded medical support, staff transportation services and enhanced learning and development programmes.

The bank also said it widened access to its mortgage and home ownership scheme to include employees from Assistant Banking Executive to Deputy Manager cadres, while increasing mortgage limits in response to prevailing market conditions.

According to the bank, ongoing investments in employee welfare, professional development and workplace engagement are designed to improve productivity, support career growth and position the institution as an employer of choice within Nigeria’s banking sector.

Fidelity Bank serves more than 10 million customers through its digital platforms, network of business offices across Nigeria and its United Kingdom subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited. The lender has also received several local and international recognitions for innovation, SME financing, export and trade finance, private banking and community empowerment.
