Fidelity Bank to Host Kano Business Forum on Growth Opportunities for Northern SMEs

Fidelity Bank Plc is set to host the Kano edition of its Quarterly Business Forum on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, bringing together entrepreneurs, business owners and industry stakeholders to explore strategies for strengthening businesses across Northern Nigeria.

The forum, themed “Positioning Northern Businesses for Growth,” will focus on access to finance, financial management, digital solutions, market expansion and strategies for building sustainable businesses.

The Divisional Head, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises Banking at Fidelity Bank, Ugochi Osinigwe, said the forum is designed to provide businesses with practical knowledge, meaningful connections and access to opportunities that can improve growth and competitiveness.

She said the decision to hold the forum in Kano reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs across the country, particularly businesses in Northern Nigeria.

The event will feature sessions with industry experts and business leaders, alongside opportunities for participants to network and exchange experiences on the realities of running businesses in the current economic environment.

Fidelity Bank said the forum is part of its broader support for Nigeria’s SME sector, including initiatives focused on capacity building, access to finance and strategic business networks.

The bank recently received the Development Bank of Nigeria Service Ambassadors Award for the Highest Impact on MSMEs Accessing Credit for the First Time, in recognition of its contribution to financial inclusion and improved access to credit for businesses.
