Fidelity Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of small and medium-scale enterprises in Northern Nigeria through its Quarterly Business Forum held in Kano.
The forum, themed “Positioning Northern Businesses for Growth,” brought together entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders to discuss access to finance, business management, capacity building and strategies for sustainable growth.
Fidelity Bank’s Executive Director, North, Sufiyanu Garba, said the region’s agricultural resources, trading culture, manufacturing capacity and consumer market make it critical to Nigeria’s economic future.
He said the bank would continue to support businesses through financing, market access, advisory services and strategic partnerships.
The Divisional Head, SME Banking, Ugochi Osinigwe, said the forum was designed to help the bank better understand the challenges facing entrepreneurs while providing training and other support to make businesses more structured and sustainable.
The bank also highlighted zero-maintenance-fee accounts and free capacity-building programmes aimed at helping SMEs improve financial management, record keeping and access to finance.
