Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has partnered with MONAT to sponsor the 2026 Young Innovators Camp, a free educational initiative designed to equip children with practical Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills.
The camp, which commenced on July 20, 2026, is aimed at providing children with hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities needed in a rapidly changing world.
Participants will be introduced to age-appropriate STEM concepts through guided build sessions, practical learning activities and interactive exercises designed to stimulate curiosity and encourage innovation. The programme also features small-group learning sessions, financial literacy training, creative activities and confidence-building exercises.
Speaking on the partnership, Fidelity Bank’s Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to nurturing future innovators and leaders.
According to him, the future will be shaped by individuals who can think creatively, solve problems and leverage technology to improve lives, making early exposure to STEM education essential.
He noted that the bank views STEM education as a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future, adding that today’s young innovators could become tomorrow’s engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs and technology leaders.
Nwagboh explained that through the partnership with MONAT, Fidelity Bank is helping to build a generation equipped with the skills, mindset and confidence required to tackle real-world challenges and contribute meaningfully to national development.
The Young Innovators Camp is part of Fidelity Bank’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda, which focuses on youth empowerment, education, skills development and creating opportunities that improve long-term outcomes for individuals and communities.
The initiative also builds on the bank’s education-focused interventions, including programmes that support children and encourage lifelong learning.
To enhance the learning experience, every participant will receive a specially curated gift pack containing educational resources and STEM learning materials to support continued exploration and learning beyond the camp.
