The award was presented during a ceremony held at the Stanel Dome Conference Centre in Awka, Anambra State, which attracted business leaders, academics, industry stakeholders and public figures celebrating excellence across various sectors.
Mrs. Onwughalu, who assumed office as Chairman of Fidelity Bank on January 1, 2026, joined the bank’s Board in December 2020. The Fidelity Bank Chairman dedicated the award to mentors, colleagues and institutions that have supported her career, while expressing appreciation to the Board, management and staff of Fidelity Bank for their commitment to strong corporate governance, customer-focused service and sustainable growth.
She also encouraged young people, especially women, to pursue their ambitions with determination, discipline and confidence.
