A Lagos resident, Muhammad Armayau, has praised the Lagos State emergency response system for the swift intervention that helped save the life of his seven-month-old daughter during a medical emergency in Badagry.

Armayau recounted how his daughter developed a high fever in the early hours of the morning amid a heavy downpour, leaving the family without transportation to a hospital. He said a call to the state's toll-free emergency line, 112, triggered a prompt response from emergency officials.

According to him, emergency operators maintained communication with the family, dispatched an ambulance and coordinated efforts to ensure medical personnel could locate them despite challenging weather conditions and poor road access.

The infant was eventually transported to General Hospital, Badagry, where she received immediate medical attention.

Armayau described the response as exceptional, noting that the ambulance travelled a considerable distance to attend to the emergency. He also commended the professionalism of the medical team and the condition of the hospital facility.

While expressing gratitude to the emergency responders and healthcare workers, he appealed to the Lagos State Government to improve road infrastructure in the area, upgrade local healthcare facilities and strengthen access to medical services.

He said the experience demonstrated the importance of effective emergency response services and highlighted the value of public healthcare investments in protecting lives across the state.
