Fidelity Bank Plc has distributed back-to-school packs to more than 600 pupils across Plateau State as part of efforts to support education and promote community development.

The intervention, which took place in Jos, benefited pupils selected from all 17 Local Government Areas of the state. Each beneficiary received a school bag containing exercise books, writing materials, a mathematical set and a water bottle to support their learning and academic development.

The initiative was facilitated by staff of Fidelity Bank’s University of Jos Branch under the Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP), a corporate social responsibility platform through which employees identify and support impactful community projects, with additional funding provided by the bank’s management.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the programme reflects the bank’s commitment to investing in education and empowering young people.

According to him, education remains one of the most effective tools for building a brighter future and creating opportunities for children to contribute meaningfully to society.

Nwagboh noted that the intervention forms part of Fidelity Bank’s broader commitment to sustainable community development and initiatives that create long-term social impact.

He encouraged the pupils to remain focused on their studies, stressing that education remains key to achieving their aspirations and contributing to national development.
