He urged stakeholders to work closely with SON in promoting standardisation, quality assurance and accurate measurement systems to support economic growth and consumer protection.

Chairman of the Standards Council of SON, Yahuza Inuwa, represented by council member Adeyemi Adebayo, also reaffirmed the council’s commitment to advancing quality infrastructure and industrial development in Nigeria.

Representatives from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority and the Nigerian National Accreditation System highlighted the importance of accurate measurement in ensuring transparency, product quality, environmental monitoring and revenue accountability, particularly within the petroleum sector.
